Ford County State Fishing Lake Fishing Information
3 miles north, 5 miles east of Dodge City

Lake is extremely low. No fish will be stocked until we get some rain. Anglers are catching small crappie and a few channel catfish.

Restocking efforts will continue in 2015 now that the lake has filled. In 2014, the following fish were stocked in Ford SFL
Channel catfish – 1000 adults fish averaging 1 lb each. and 4000 intermediate size averaging 9 inches in length.
Bluegill – 135 adults and 20,000 fingerlings.
Largemouth bass – 400 bass averaging about 8 inches.
May 3 of 2015, 500 channel catfish averaging 1 lb were stocked.
Please discard of leftover bait in a trash can, even baitfish. Remember it is illegal to release any fish into public water unless it was taken from that water!
