CHEYENNE BOTTOMS - Last Updated: 6/9/2017

Waterfowl numbers Few ducks, mix of mallards, bluewing teal, redheads, wood ducks and assorted other ducks.  Few Canada geese. 
Water level Pools 1A is near 70", 1B and 1C are around 44".  Pool 2 is near 34 inches, Pools 3A is about 28 inches, 3B is about 15 inches, 4A and 4B are around 22 inches, and Pool 5 has about 19 inches. 
Hunting conditions We have a lot of water and a lot of cattails.  We are trying to get water moved so we can work on cattails and get some millet planted.  Also planning on spraying cattails.  Burned and disked around 500 acres in 3B this past fall/winter.

iSportsman (electronic daily hunt permit system) will be required of all hunters this fall.  There will not be any cards available this year, so please set up an iSportsman account prior to this hunting season.  

Hunters are encouraged to use the electronic Daily Hunt Permit system.  This will eventually replace the paper permits.

PAPER PERMITS WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE AREA OFFICE, HOWEVER, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO USE THE iSPORTSMAN ELECTRONIC CHECK-IN SYSTEM AS IT WILL BE USED EXCLUSEIVELY IN FOLLOWING YEARS.



ISABEL - Last Updated: 2/9/2017

Waterfowl numbers Approximately 200 whitefronts and 50 Canadas mixed with 1,000 ducks - mallards, pintail, green-winged teal.
Water level The west pool adjacent to Hwy. 42 is approximately 70 full.  The main lake full.  The pool south of the main lake is nearly full.
Hunting conditions 20% ice cover 2/9.
Expected hunting success Duck season (Low Plains Late Zone) is Oct. 29, 2016 through Jan. 1, 2017 and Jan. 21-29, 2017.

Only non-toxic shot is allowed on Isabel Wetland Wildlife Area for all species.

Waterfowl numbers Approximately 250 Canada geese mixed with 1800 ducks - mallard, pintail, green-winged teal, redhead
Water level Pools 1,  3B, and 6 have water.
Hunting conditions Duck season in the Low Plains Early Zone has CLOSED. 
Expected hunting success Duck season (Low Plains Early Zone) is Oct. 8 - Dec. 4, 2016 and Dec. 17, 2016 -Jan. 1, 2017
