Raccoon Den
What is CFAP and how does it provide better fishing opportunities?

CFAP stands for Community Fisheries Assistance Program, and it enhances local fishing opportunities at a lake near you. Through CFAP, the department leases fishing access rights for more than 200 community lakes, many of which had previously charged anglers access fees. Department biologists also assist with management of the fisheries to improve angling opportunities. There are some great fishing opportunities at these lakes, and if you see the CFAP sign, you know anglers are welcome.
