Cheyenne Bottoms Waterfowl Report -
Waterfowl numbers  Spring has sprung!  Species composition is changing as the migration proceeds. We estimate between 10,000 to 30,000 total ducks, mostly blue-winged teal, gadwall and shoveler, but still a good variety of species remain. We estimate goose numbers to be less than 100.  
Water level Pools 1A is about 12.5 inches, 1B and 1C each are at 29 inches. Pool 2 is near 10 inches, Pools 3A is about 6 inches, 3B and 4A is near 2 inches, and Pool 4B is about 11 inches and Pool 5 is about 3 inches. 
Hunting conditions The forecast is for temperatures to remain very mild through early next week. 
Expected hunting success Light goose conservation order hunters have been very few. Hunter success low.
Comments

Hunters are encouraged to use the electronic Daily Hunt Permit system being introduced this year.  This will eventually replace the paper permits.

PAPER PERMITS WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE INFORMATION CENTERS, HOWEVER, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO USE THE iSPORTSMAN ELECTRONIC CHECK-IN SYSTEM AS IT WILL BE USED EXCLUSEIVELY IN FOLLOWING YEARS.
