KANSAS WILDLIFE & PARKS LAUNCHES WEB LOG SITE

Two-way communications with constituents enhanced with new web log site

The development of web logs, or blogs, has created a useful communications tool for organizations and individuals around the world. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks wants to use that tool to assist two-way communication between the department and its stakeholders.

The department invites interested persons to pay a visit to the KDWP blog .

The department’s initial entry at the new blog site invites comments on the Deer Task Force Report, which reviews a variety of proposals to ensure fair distribution of deer hunting permits, effective conservation and management of the state’s deer, simplification of the deer permitting process, and more.

A variety of other Kansas outdoor recreation issues will be discussed at the site in the coming weeks and months, and public participation is encouraged.
