MANHATTAN -- The Riley County Fish and Game Association, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP), and the Tuttle Creek Lake Corps of Engineers are seeking participants for the 7th Annual Tuttle Creek Youth/Disabled Deer Hunt, which will be held Sept. 12-13. Youth 11-16 years old and anyone with a Disability Assistance Permit issued by KDWP are eligible. In addition, a Kansas hunting license, a deer permit, and an approved hunter education course (for those who are 16) are required.

Successful hunters will be put in touch with area lockers where processing will be handled free of charge.

Other items provided for this hunt include accessible hunting blinds, hunting locations, hunter orange hats and vests, and transportation to the field. All participants will be required to attend a firearm safety presentation and sight-in at the Fancy Creek Range on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 4 p.m.
