KDWPT HOLIDAY OFFICE HOURS

December 18, 2014

State parks and wildlife areas are open but offices closed over holidays

PRATT – You can still enjoy a hike on a state park trail, a hunt on a wildlife area or even a campout at a state park; however, depending on the days you visit, Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT) offices may be closed this holiday season. KDWPT staff wish our friends a safe and happy holiday and remind everyone that all department offices will be closed on the afternoon of Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1, 2015. Some state park offices will be open on Jan. 1 to conduct First Day Hike Programs.

Most licenses and permits are available online at www.ksoutdoors.com or through the more than 600 license vendors across the state. Park daily vehicle and camping permits can be obtained at entrance kiosks. Cabin reservations may be made in advance online or by calling the park office, or visiting reserveamerica.com
