ENROLL AT SAFEHUNTERS.COM
Thursday, April 14, 2016, 5:30-9:00 p.m. at Building 21 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds AND all day Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge.
Attendance on both days is required to pass. Parents or guardians of young students are welcome to attend along with their child if they like. PLEASE DO NOT ENROLL IN THE COURSE IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A HUNTER EDUCATION CERTIFICATE!! If attending with a child, just come with them, do not enroll unless you need a Hunter Education certificate yourself. Doing so uses up a spot a potential student may need.
Students must be at least 11 years old as of April 23, 2016 to enroll in the course. All persons born after July 1, 1957 must have a Hunter Education certificate to hunt in Kansas. When registering, please provide your full legal name and do not use nicknames. Directions to the FOP Lodge will be provided to students on the first evening of class. Dress for the weather on April 23, because most of the day will be outside. A lunch of hotdogs, beans and chips will be provided on April 23 for $3.00 or students are welcome to bring their own lunch if they prefer. Any questions may be directed to Sergeant Max Miller of the Lawrence Police Department at email@example.com.
