In order to complete a scheduled system upgrade, the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism's licensing and permit system will be shut down at 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, and will be back online at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22. No license or permit sales will be available during that time, both online and at license vendors. Eastern Red Cedar
Also known as a Red Juniper, this tree is very common throughout the state. Used mostly as an ornamental tree for hedges, the Eastern Red Cedar is important to deer, birds, squirrels and raccoons for food and shelter.
