Duck Creek Wildlife Area
The wildlife area is bistected by Duck Creek, a tributary to the Elk River. The area has 100 acres of riparian and associated habitat, and adjacent areas have been planted to trees and native grass. A small marsh is located on the area and fishing in the creek is provided during wet periods. Management focuses priarily on deer, turkey, upland and small game.

The 246 acre wildlife area was donated to the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks in 1995, by the Farmers Home Administration of the U.S.D.A. Initial habitat improvements were funded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
