OVERLAND PARK NATIVE ASSUMES PHEASANTS FOREVER POST

Park University graduate brings passion for conservation back home
OVERLAND PARK -- Pheasants Forever (PF)/Quail Forever (QF) have appointed Jordan Martincich as the organization's new regional representative for eastern Kansas. Martincich's primary duties with PF/QF will include starting and supporting chapters and members in the region. He will also assist chapters in portions of Oklahoma and Texas as PF and QF continue to expand across the region.

A 2007 graduate of Park University in Parkville, Mo., Martincich earned a bachelor of arts in business administration and a minor in economics. He was born and raised in Overland Park, where he still lives, and has been an avid outdoorsman his entire life.

"Growing up hunting and camping instilled in me the importance of conserving and protecting wildlife habitat," says Martincich. "I want everyone to be able to enjoy and experience Kansas wildlife resources. It's important that I work hard to help the public educate their children about the benefits of the outdoors, so future generations will care about conservation issues like I do."

Pheasants Forever/Quail Forever is a nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to the protection and enhancement of pheasant, quail, and other wildlife populations in North America. The organization has more than 129,000 members in 700 local chapters. Martincich can be reached at 816-560-1070 or by email at jordan@pheasantsforever.org.
