Pratt's Annual Fishing Derby heads up a busy weekend in the State of Kansas

Pratt – We're getting to the heart of summer and Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks has plenty of fun outdoor activities for you to attend around the state. The weekend of June 13th is no exception and it is packed full of fishing derbies, OK Kids days, and more.

Below is a list of events scheduled for this weekend.

6/13/2009 – Pratt Operations Office Annual Fishing Derby

  • Kids 15 and under are welcome to come out to the Kids Fishing Pond at the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks Pratt Operations Office for fishing, fun, and food. Kids 8 and under start fishing at 9:30 with kids 9 to 15 fishing at 10:45. A free lunch will be available after the last group finishes and the awards are handed out.

6/13/2009 – 6/14/2009 – Cedar Bluff State Park Free Entrance Days

  • State Park vehicle permits are not required for Saturday or Sunday. More information on programs that are planned can be found HERE.

6/13/2009 – 6/14/2009 – Eisenhower State Park Free Entrance Days

  • State Park vehicle permits are not required for Saturday or Sunday and there are different events planned throughout the day.

6/13/2009 – 6/14/2009 – Wilson State Park Free Entrance Days

  • State Park vehicle permits are not required for Saturday or Sunday. Saturday is OK Kids Day and is filled with many activities everyone will enjoy.

6/13/2009 – National Get Outdoors Day – Pomona State Park – 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

6/13/2009 -- Backlashers Bass Club Bass Tournament -- Hillsdale State Park, Marysville Ramp -- 5:30 am to 3:00 pm

6/13/2009 -- Jackpot Buddy Bass LLC Bass Tournament -- Perry State Park, South Boat Ramp -- 5:30 am to 3:00 pm
