TUTTLE CREEK RANGE TO HOST WOMEN ON TARGET DAY MAY 9

All aspects of shooting sports to be covered; event limited to 45 women
MANHATTAN -- On Saturday, May 9, the Friends of Fancy Creek Range, Inc., will conduct a National Rifle Association Women On Target program, a shooting event for women ages 16 and older. The event will be held from 8 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. at the Fancy Creek Range in Tuttle Creek State Park, near Randolph.

This is not a competitive event, and no experience is required. Shooters of all levels are welcome. Firearms and ammunition will be provided, but participants may bring their own firearms. Certified instructors and range safety officers will be on duty. Participants will be divided into five groups, and each will rotate through the pistol, rifle, muzzleloader, archery, and shotgun courses.

Women of all ages are welcome to attend, but a parental consent form is required for those younger than 18. Space is limited to 45 participants, so early registration is encouraged. For more information phone Lisa Moore at 785-485-5527 or email sweetpickle06@eaglecom.net.

The fee is $30, but two friends may register together for $40. The registration fee includes lunch, eye and ear protection, equipment, ammunition, and personal instruction by certified instructors, NRA range safety officers, and volunteers.
