GOVERNOR REAPPOINTS TWO WILDLIFE AND PARKS COMMISSIONERS

Seven-member Wildlife and Parks Commission advises KDWP
TOPEKA — Gov. Mark Parkinson has reappointed two members of the Kansas Wildlife and Parks Commission. Gerald Lauber, Topeka, and Robert Wilson, Pittsburg, have been reappointed with their terms expiring on June 30, 2014. Other commission members include Kelly Johnston, chairman, Wichita; Shari Wilson, vice-chairman, Kansas City; Frank Meyer, Herington; Doug Sebelius, Norton; and Debra Bolton, Garden City.

The seven-member commission works with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) to conserve and enhance Kansas’ outdoor recreation resources, primarily reviewing regulations recommended by KDWP staff. All positions are appointed by the governor with the commissioners serving staggered four-year terms.
