  • 10/11/15: Breakfast catered by Friends of Eisenhower State Park at 7:00am-8:00am
  • 10/11/15: Trail ride on Blue Trail from 9:00am-12:00pm

Each rider's fee is $30 (Kids 12 & Under $15). Proceeds will go directly toward the West Point Equestrian Camp. No vehicle fee is required for this event, and camp sites can be reserved for West Point camp sites by calling, 785-528-4102.

This is a 2 day competitive trail ride for members of the North American Trail Ride Conference.  Non-members are encouraged to come and learn about the sport.  Novice and Veteran riders, ride trails, do obstacles for judges and the horses condition is checked at vet check stations.

There will be no charge for taking the class. Class will be held at Banner Creek Reservoir. Class will involve live fire of 20 gauge shotguns and a field walk along with classroom material. Students must complete the online portion of the course prior to attending the field day. The online course is accessed by links at https://programs.ksoutdoors.com/Online-HE-Course. Each student will be issued a pre-test over the online materials. 
All students will be tested over the Internet course material. This pre-test will be administered at the beginning of the Field Day. A passing score of 22 correct answers out of 25 questions is required to proceed with the rest of the course. Students failing to achieve the minimum score of 22 will be dismissed from the class.
The field walk session will be as much like an actual hunt as possible. It is recommended to wear boots or walking shoes and long pants.
