Students must complete the online portion of the course prior to attending the field day. The online course is accessed by links at https://programs.ksoutdoors.com/Online-HE-Course. Each student will be issued a pre-test over the online materials. 
All students will be tested over the Internet course material. This pre-test will be administered at the beginning of the Field Day. A passing score of 22 correct answers out of 25 questions is required to proceed with the rest of the course. Students failing to achieve the minimum score of 22 will be dismissed from the class.
The field walk session will be as much like an actual hunt as possible. It is recommended to wear boots or walking shoes and long pants. 

This class will run from 8:00 a.m. to about 4:00 or 4:30 p.m. Bring a lunch and something to drink. We will be outside much of the time so dress accordingly with footwear appropriate for walking a trail. DO NOT bring any firearms or ammunition. Those will be provided. Be sure to bring the certificate indicating you have successfully competed the on-line portion of the class. Be aware that the on-line portion will require 6 to 8 hours or more for you to complete so plan ahead in order to finish this portion. Internet Students must complete the online portion of the course at www.kdwpt.com or

(https://programs.ksoutdoors.com/prg/Programs/Hunter-Education-Certification) prior to

attending the field day. Please read all instructions online: students are required to bring

to class the Certificate of Completion at the end of the course.

The Range is below the Hillsdale dam next to the spillway. Class will be in the training building. If you do not have a Kansas State Park vehicle permit on your car, inform the gate attendent that you are here for the hunter education class.
