Celebrate National Trails Day by hiking or mountain biking one of seven trails at Fall River. Or check out the new Badger Creek Trail just recently completed by the Kansas Trails Council, it's connected to our Bluestem Trail located in the Quarry Bay Area. Insect repellent, water, and sunscreen are recommended. Check with the office for a guided hike.

Enjoy a night with the Kansas Astronomical Observers, they will present an educational program, we'll enjoy refreshments, and then look into the night sky as it gets dark to see planets, moons, stars, constellations, nebulas, and other fun wonders of our skies! Event is in Casner Creek Campground, lawn chairs, and insect repellant are recommended to fully enjoy this great event!

13th Annual Fall River Rendezvous

Step back to 1815, a time with the mountain man and the American Indians walked the recently purchased Louisiana Purchase. A time when Lewis and Clark had finished their exploration, and others were wanting to follow in their footsteps. The event interprets 1800-1840 with a traditional rendezvous when Mountain Men and American Indians camped together to trade for needed supplies from the fur companies. Activities will include Indian and Mountain Men Encampments, Historical Traders, Blackpowder Shoot, Archery Demo's, Tomahawk Throw, Skillet Throw for the Ladies, and a Kids Gold Rush. Come out to Fall River State Park and step back to 1815.
