Prairie Dog State Park News
**Vehicle permit is required to enter the park**
The park water system has been turned off for the season. There is no water available in the park and the shower houses are closed. The electricity remains on at the camp sites and the vault toilets are open. Primitive cabin renters please note there are no shower facilities available in the park during the off season. The modern cabins have water as they are on a separate water supply. Campers may use the hydrant at the front of the office to fill their fresh water tanks.
Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Cabin Renters--Please make sure to contact the park office at (785) 877-2953 within 48 hours of your arrival to obtain your key code.
There is NO HUNTING ALLOWED in the State Park. Please feel free to contact the office with any questions.
Prairie Dog State Park also has four cabins available. Cedar Crest and Cottonwood are primitive cabins (no water) while Prairie Dog and Eagle View are modern cabins with running water. Call for a reservation, or reserve a cabin on our website! All cabins have heating and air conditioning, a refrigerator and a microwave.
Please remember to always wear your life jacket when you're on the water, it could save your life. The current water elevation is 2288.10, or 16.20 feet below conservation pool.
