2020-21 Deer Harvesting Survey

The 2020-21 Kansas Deer Harvest Survey has been sent out and is open for responses. Deer hunters may receive an email or postcard soliciting their response. The survey period will be open through April 19, 2021. Results from this survey help direct future deer seasons and deer management in Kansas.

KDWP utilizes Qualtrics XM Online Survey Software to implement surveys. So, the survey is not sent from a @ks.gov email account. The email will be sent by Levi Jaster from noreply@qemailserver.com, with subject line “2020-21 Kansas Deer Harvest Survey”. The email will contain the selected hunter’s KDWP number. This number is printed on your permit. Hunters will need to enter this number during the survey.

Hunters who do not have an email address may receive a postcard in the mail. The postcard provides this link: https://tinyurl.com/2020-21KSDeerHarvestSurvey, which hunters need to type into their web browser address bar. A QR code is also provided on the postcard to provide quick access to the survey via smartphone. The postcard has the hunter’s KDWP number. Hunters will need to enter this number during the survey.

E-Tag Holders: Hunters who used E-Tags will receive the same survey this year because this was the first year E-Tags were utilized for big game hunting. As with any new system, there are bugs to work out and by completing the same survey, you help KDWP improve the system faster. In the future, E-Tag holders can expect to receive a shorter survey.

Hunters who have trouble completing the survey, should email "deer survey" to kdwp.surveys@ks.gov and KDWP will reply with a direct link to the survey.
