KDWP ANNOUNCES HOLIDAY OFFICE CLOSINGS SCHEDULE

State parks open for use but some park offices closed during holiday period

PRATT -- The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) has announced office closings for the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays. All KDWP offices will be closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan 1, 2009. State park offices will be closed weekends until March, 2009, and some state park offices will be closed additional days. Most parks will not take camping reservations until Jan. 5, 2009.

While all state parks will be open for visitation and use, some state park offices will be closed Dec. 26-28 and Dec. 31, including the following:
• Cedar Bluff -- Dec. 24-Jan. 1, reopens Jan. 2, 2009;
• Cheney -- Dec. 25 and 26 and Jan. 1, 2009, reopens Jan. 2, 2009;
• Clinton -- Dec. 22-Jan. 4, reopens Jan. 5, 2009;
• Crawford -- Dec. 23-Jan., 1, reopens Jan. 2, 2009;
• El Dorado -- Dec. 25-Jan. 1, reopens Jan. 2, 2009;
• Eisenhower -- Dec. 25-Jan. 4, reopens Jan. 5, 2009;
• Elk City -- Dec. 25-28; Jan. 1, reopens Jan. 2, 2009;
• Cross Timbers/Fall River -- Dec. 25-28 and Jan. 1; reopens Jan. 2, 2009;
• Glen Elder -- Dec. 24-Jan. 4, reopens Jan. 5, 2009;
• Hillsdale -- Dec. 24-Jan. 4, reopens Jan. 5, 2009;
• Kanopolis -- Dec. 22-Jan. 4, reopens Jan. 5, 2009;
