KDWP 2010 LICENSES REQUIRED JAN. 1

Early purchases valid the remainder of 2009 and all of 2010
PRATT — The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks reminds all hunters, anglers and park patrons that hunting and fishing licenses, trout stamps and park permits expire Dec. 31, 2009. Even though 2009 deer and fall turkey permits may still be valid in some units, a 2010 Kansas hunting license is required before any of these issues may be used after Dec. 31.

Licenses for 2010 went on sale Dec. 15. This includes hunting, fishing, and park licenses and permits. (In addition, park annual vehicle entrance permits are priced at the off-season value.)

Licenses and permits for 2010 can be purchased online from the KDWP website. They may also be purchased from any KDWP office or license vendor. Some vendors are open 24 hours a day, offering another alternative to online purchases. (Hunters should be aware that big game permits and tags are not valid until the day after purchase.)

For more information, go to the KDWP website, www.kdwp.state.ks.us, or phone 620-672-5911.
