HALLOWEEN HAUNTS MEADE STATE PARK

Costume contest, haunted trail, trolley rides, chili supper highlight event
MEADE — The Friends of Meade State Park will host “Halloween in the Park” on Oct. 23. Events will start at 4 p.m. and include a chili/stew supper at the visitor center, where donations will be taken. Kids are invited to wear their scariest Halloween outfits for a costume contest, with prizes awarded for winners in age groups newborn-3, 4-7, and 8-12. Participants must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Kids may also trick or treat in the park or hike on the Haunted Trail, and a trolley ride will be on hand for everyone.

Support Meade State Park and the friends group sponsoring this exciting event. Park fees still apply. Donations will also be taken to assist in the purchase of a park bench in memory of Craig Unruh. The event will take place as weather permits.
