The Clinton State Park Chapter of Fishing's Future is partnering up with Free State High School. Our Fishing Club will meet up once a month for class room instruction and fishing activities. In the Spring we will start going out once a month to a local pond or lake to fish.   All bait and equipment provided!

The mission of Fishing’s Future is to reconnect kids and nature, strengthen family relationships, build stewardship of the environment, and provide positive, hands-on, quality outdoor experiences for youth and family alike.

The Fishing Club will not only teach fishing techniques and skills to the untrained, it is geared toward qualifying Junior Ambassador Anglers for the Fishing’s Future Program to become instructors in the future. Junior Ambassador Anglers are encouraged to help at clinics in the area for volunteer hours. We provide the equipment/supplies, bait and instructors to teach fishing skills. We also invite the student’s families to get involved and participate in the fishing club as well.

Each month we will train on a specific portion of our training or on a specialty theme. The following are some of the topics that we will cover and experience. We will meet once a month for one hour sessions until spring. In the spring we will also add one Saturday a month to go out into our community and fish area ponds and lakes. We want to instruct and give hands on experience during each session.
