Species Rating Size Baits, Method & Location
Bluegill Slow Up to 8 inches Nightcrawler under a bobber fished near shoreline structure.
Channel Catfish Good Up to 5 lbs. Channel catfish are being taken on live and prepared baits. The bite is very good in the upper end.    
Largemouth Bass Fair Up to 6 lb. Target largemouth bass in deeper structure and drop-offs.   
Saugeye Slow Up to 3 lbs. Jigs tipped with a nightcrawler fished on the flat.
Wiper Slow Up to 11 lbs. Jigs and shad imitation baits fished near mainlake points. Some nice sized wiper (14-19 inches) have been being taken on the north end of the reservoir.  
White Crappie Fair Most fish around 7 inches, but some are greater than 10 inches. Jigs or minnows fished near brushpiles. 
General Comments

Caution!!! Asian Carp have made their way up stream to below Lake Olathe dam.

Remember it is illegal to move fish from below dam to above the dam or use fish captured below dam for bait above the dam. 

Boats will not be allowed on Lake Olathe during weekdays till mid-June 2018 due to construction efforts and blasting. Boats will be allowed on evenings and weekends.
