Big Hill Reservoir Fishing Report -
Species Rating Size Baits, Method & Location
Crappie Good 6-12" Crappie fishing remains good.  Look for crappie in the shallow coves.  Vertical jigging small baits has been producing the most fish.
Channel Catfish Good 16-24" Catfishing remains good.  Look for catfish around the submerged trees. Shad sides have been producing the most fish.
Largemouth and Smallmouth  Bass Good 12-20" Largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing remains good.  Swim baits and jerk baits around the submerged trees and the vegetation have been producing fish.  Some fish are also starting to stage for spawning and can be found in the shallow vegetation.  Smallmouth bass fishing has also improved near rocky structure.
Bluegill and Redears Good 6-8" Look for bluegill and redear just outside of the weed line.  Small bait under a bobber has been working the best.
General Comments

Water temperatures were 63 degrees this week.

Release all Largemouth Bass 15-21" in Length, daily creel remains 5/day.
