Celebrate National Trails Day by hiking or mountain biking one of seven trails at Fall River. Check out the Army Corps' Badger Creek Trail completed by the Kansas Trails Council. Insect repellent, water, and sunscreen are recommended.

Enjoy a night with the Kansas Astronomical Observers, they will present an educational program, and then look into the night sky as it gets dark to see planets, moons, stars, constellations, nebulas, and other fun wonders of our skies! Event is in Casner Creek Campground, lawn chairs, and insect repellant are recommended to fully enjoy this great event! Vehicle permits are required.

Step back to 1824, a time with the mountain man and the American Indians walked the recently purchased Louisiana Purchase. A time when Lewis and Clark had finished their exploration, and others were wanting to follow in their footsteps. The event interprets 1800-1840 with a traditional rendezvous when Mountain Men and American Indians camped together to trade for needed supplies from the fur companies. Activities may include Indian and Mountain Men Encampments, Historical Traders, Reenactors Blackpowder Shoot, Tomahawk Throw, Skillet Throw for the Ladies, and a Kids Gold Rush. Come out to Fall River State Park and step back to 1824.
