Channel Catfish | Good | 0.5-6 lbs | Channel Catfish activity is increasing. Nightcrawlers or cut bait are producing the most bites early in the season. |
Largemouth Bass | Fair | 0.5-5 lbs | Bass activity is slow, but will improve with increasing water temperatures |
Bluegill/Redear Sunfish | Fair | Up to 10 inches | Bluegill activity is slow, but will improve with increasing water temperatures |
Crappie | Good-Fair | up to 12 inches | Crappie will begin to break off their winter pattern as they begin to stage near spawning areas (coves with brush piles, timber, and rock). Crappie can be caught around brush piles using minnows or small plastics. |

Invasive Species: Lonestar Lake has Eurasian Water-Milfoil. Please remove aquatic vegetation from all watercraft before transporting. Brush piles were placed at the following location on 6/22/22: 2 west side of dam (~13ft): N 38 50.370', W 95 22.964'2 north west cove (~12 ft): N 38 50.348', W 95 22.947'4 east side of dam(~14ft): N 38 50.418', W 95 22.647'2 Big tree east cove near boat ramp (~12 ft): N 38 50.122', W 95 22.632'41 east point near boat ramp (~20ft): N 38 50.155', W 95 22.693' Crappie Jacks were placed around the new ADA access dock on 9/21/22 |
