Elk City State Park and the Park Improvement Team (P.I.T.) will be hosting the Annual Halloween Campout with a Free Hotdog Feed and Auction starting at 6pm on Friday October 30th. Saturday will be a fun-filled day starting at 7a.m. with a Free Breakfast. Afternoon and evening events begin at 2pm and include a cakewalk, Needle in A Haystack and other Halloween themed events. A Chili Feed Cook-Off will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed with Hayrack Rides, Costume Contests, Campsite Decoration Contest and concludes with a drawing for a Free Annual Vehicle and Annual Camp Permit at 9:00p.m.

On Sunday November 1st. there will be a Golf Tournament from 8:00a.m. till 12:00 at Elk City State Parks 18-hole Golf Course located near the Kids Fishing Pond. This is a 2-Man Scramble and you may sign up at the Tee-Off area. There is a $10.00 entrance fee to compete.

Saturday, October 31, 2009 is Free Park Entrance Day. A vehicle permit is not required to enter the State Park. All other fees such as camping and utilities do apply. The trees are beautiful, there is fun in the air, come out and enjoy the festivities and the great outdoors!!
