• 8 a.m. - Kaw River Run – 4 mi run/2 mi walk sponsored by the Topeka Sunflower Striders. All proceeds to benefit Let’s Help.

• 10:00 a.m. - Awards presentation to the winners of the Kaw River Run

• 10:30 a.m. - Opening of Kaw River State Park by Governor and Mrs. Parkinson

• 11:30 a.m. - Dedication of the Kaw River boat ramp immediately followed by a canoe flotilla on the Kansas River to the Great Overland Station. To reserve a canoe for $25, please call Friends of the Kaw at (785) 963-3460.
