LOVEWELL STATE PARK NEWS, NOTES AND HAPPENINGS!! Updated weekly.

IMPORTANT!!: Due to scheduling issues as we get back to school, etc, the Lovewell State Park Office will be open the following hours from now until Labor Day:

Friday 8am to 8:30pm

Saturday 8am to 2:00pm

Sunday thru Thursday, 8am to 4:30pm

After office hours, please utilize the self pay station for daily vehicle and campsite permits. After Hours location for hunting/fishing license and park permit purchases: Lovewell Marina (1/2 south, 1/4 east of office) Webb's Bait andTackle (1/2 north, 4 west, 9 south, 4 west of office). Or purchase your hunting or fishing license here online.

Lovewell State Park, is sponsoring its 15th   Annual Campground Christmas on Saturday, August 19th. Campers at the state park are encouraged to decorate their campsites in a Christmas Theme. Campers who choose to join in on the festivities need to register at the state park office, by 5 pm on Saturday afternoon. Campsites will be judged after 8 pm on Saturday. Prizes will be awarded on Sunday, August 20th at the Beach Shelter at 11 am.  If you decide not to enter the contest, the park staff would still like to invite you to come out to view the decorated campsites.

 

Lovewell Marina and Grill is open for the season, Sunday thru Thursday 7am to 7pm; Friday/Saturday 7am to 9pm.

Lovewell Reservoir is at conservation pool. Water temp is the upper 70's. 

Camping Cabin reservations are available up to 364 days in advance. 2017 campsite reservations for the Walleye Point, Cottonwood, and North Willow Utility Campgrounds are available April thru September at www.reserveamerica.com, or by calling the office during business hours. Remember, Kansas residents can purchase their Annual Park Passport at a reduced rate with vehicle registration at the courthouse!

Frontier, Pioneer, Pine Ridge and Sunrise Camping Cabins are designated as a "PET FRIENDLY" cabin. Customers who wish to bring their pets for their stay at these Camping Cabins will need to choose the "Pet Friendly" option on the online reservation page (or request it during a telephone reservation), and pay an add'l fee of $50.00. All other cabins remain as "No Pets Allowed". Pets must be kept outside in a kennel or on a secured chain or leash.
