This brushpile is not used as much as some of the others, but can be very productive during low water periods in the fall and winter. It is only 10-12 feet deep at conservation, but typically holds good numbers of crappie in October and November. We found very high numbers of nice crappie around this brushpile while conducting our annual fall sample.

An additional 25 cedar trees were added to this brushpile in August 2011.

KAR 115-2-2 Economic Impact Summary (PDF - 9.00 kB)

If the owners of ten percent of the light trucks and cars registered opted to purchase a park motor vehicle permit, the proposed amendments would generate an additional $1,800,000 on annual fiscal year basis. Otherwise, the proposed revocation is not anticipated to have any appreciable negative economic impact on the department, other agencies, small businesses or the public.

KAR 115-2-3 Economic Impact Statement (PDF - 352.36 kB)

The economic effect on long term state park campers in the form of a user fee would be an increase of $100 per month per campsite for most state parks and $150 per month per campsite in 5 state parks.  The proposed increase would generate approximately $104,800 annually, all of which would accrue to the park fee fund.  Otherwise,no other economic impact to the department, other state agencies, small businesses, or individual members of the public is anticipated.

115-2-7 Economic Impact Statement (PDF - 351.64 kB)

The economic effect on potential park users could be $730,000 annually, if 20 people were allowed to access the backcountry areas twice daily and all slots were filled, all of which would accrue to the park fee fund.  Otherwise,no other economic impact to the department, other state agencies, small businesses, or individual members of the public is anticipated.
