Park Fees

The Kansas State Parks Passport, available only at the time of vehicle registration for $15.50 at your county treasurer's office, is valid until the vehicle registration expires. The Passport is not available through Kansas Wildlife, Parks and Tourism offices.

Sand Hills State Park - a state park motor vehicle permit is required for entry. The trail pass is no longer required.

Camping fees are "per unit" or per tent. Processing fees will apply to each camping stay.

MINIMUM STAY NOTICE: A four-night stay will be required for camping reservations during Memorial Day weekend, and three-night stays will be required for camping reservations during the Fourth of July and Labor Day weekends.

* Note: you must be 18 or older to rent a cabin or campsite.

* Commercial activity, such as the renting of sites and reselling said reservation, is occurring on state park property that is against Agency regulations. KDWP regulation K.A.R. 115-8-19 states that no person shall advertise, engage in, or solicit any business, or make a charge for any event or service except as authorized by the department-on-department lands and waters. Persons or businesses found to be engaging in this activity can be ticketed resulting in a court appearance and related fines/costs.

National Guard Permit
State funding has been made available to provide free park vehicle permits to active members of the Kansas National Guard. DO NOT FAX!

Camping Fees - A camping permit is required in addition to the motor vehicle permit for overnight stays. All daily camping permits expire at 2:00 p.m. Prime site fee applies to designated sites from April 1 - September 30. In addition to the fees below, there is a $2.75 per stay transaction fee for all overnight stays.
