This is a deep water brushpile (20-25 feet) consisting of approximately 200-250 cedar trees anchored with cement blocks located just south of the boat ramp. The brushpile is very popular for crappie anglers and can produce some excellent fishing during the fall and winter. Decent catches of walleye and wipers can also be found here during the spring and early summer. We will attempt to maintain this brushpile each year.

An additional 75 cedar trees were added to this brushpile in August 2008.

Here, you can often hear native animals such as owls and coyotes in the evenings. This trail joins the Corps of Engineers trail on the northern point. The additional miles of trails provide hiker and bikers opportunities outside the state park. Users can expect moderate difficulty traversing this trail.
