Two trails, which are referred to as the Prairie Trails, connect the Horsethief Canyon Trails to the Alum Creek Trails. These trails are easy to moderate in difficulty with one common water crossing, and a short cut. The Prairie Trails will take you to Red Rocks Canyon, a breathtaking Kansas Canyon lined with red sandstone.

Trail winds through forested areas, but also tallgrass prairie. 

A diverse nature trail winding through the Flint Hills down into a bottomland hardwood forest and a small stand of Paw Paw trees.

This trail winds around throughout the Jayhawk and Russel crites areas. Vehicle permits are required for entry.
