For nature lovers who like to identify various different trees, grasses, flowers and birds, a nature trail has been marked at the northwest corner of the lake.

This trail winds around throughout the Jayhawk and Russel crites areas. Vehicle permits are required for entry.

This is a paved trail through the Osage Lowland Day Use Area of the State Park. It has views of the wildlife area, the south side of the lake and is available for walking or bike riding.

Purchase your $5.00 daily vehicle permit at the Self Pay Station upon arrival. Complete the information on the front of the envelope and retain the attached perforated vehicle permit. Display it on the Lower Left Hand side of your windshield. (Those of you with a valid Park Passport will not be charged for a daily vehicle permit.)

If you would like to purchase an Annual Vehicle Permit and can bring the self pay receipt back to us before January 14th we will put that $5.00 towards your $25.00 annual permit. This must be done at the Park Office ONLY! (Open 8-4 Monday - Friday)
