The Osprey cabin is a 2 bedroom cabin with two sets of bunkbeds in one bedroom and a full sized bed and futon in the other bedroom and a fold-down futon in the living room. It will sleep 8 or 9. It has a furnished kitchen with full sized refrigerator and stove and is handicapped accessible.

Cheney State Park has nine modern cabins that we are offering as an alternative to “roughing it.” These provide a great opportunity to experience the joys of the outdoors for those wanting to enjoy the lake but not wanting to tent-camp.

Cabins are located in an area together but staggered to provide privacy from each other. They are in close proximity to the lake and are within walking distance of the beach and swimming area. Those reserving the cabins must provide their own bed linens, pillows, towels, soap, and personal items. Smoking is not allowed in the cabins and pets are not allowed in the cabins. There is a leash law in effect for the park.

Reservations are accepted online or by phone at the Cheney State Park Office, 316-542-3664. Reservations are handled on a first come, first served basis, and for a period of 364 days in advance. Reservations require full payment up front and includes the total stay plus a nonrefundable reservation fee. The damage and refund policy is explained on the reservation page and in an email that we send prior to your stay. We require a $75 deposit in cash, check or credit card that will be returned to you when you check out if the cabin is in good condition.  We ask that you leave the cabin in the condition it was in when you checked in.

Cabins reserve for the following prices and prices are subject to change:

• Sunday - Thursday: $110 /night
• Friday/Saturday: $150 /night

In addition, a daily vehicle permit is required in all state parks unless the renter has a current annual permit. Cross Timbers State Park offers rustic cabin rentals. Timber Walker cabin is reservable year round. Reservations may be made up to a year in advance. Reservations can be made at www.reserveamerica.com, Campit KS app, or by calling the office 620-637-2213. In addition to the cabin reservation, you must have a vehicle pass. You must be 18 or older to reserve and rent the cabin. No Smoking or tents are allowed at the cabins, pets are only allowed in Eagle's Nest cabin with a paid pet fee. This is a housekeeping cabin. Please bring your own bedding, soap, and towels. The cabin comes with: Bathroom/shower, microwave, refrigerator, 4-burner cook stove with oven, full bed, Murphy twin bed, futon, table and chairs, AC/heat, outside hydrant, picnic table, fire ring w/grill, service for 8 set with silverware, glasses, toaster, coffee pot, and other limited cookware. Eagle's Nest cabin is reservable year round. Reservations may be made up to a year in advance. Reservations can be made at www.reserveamerica.com, the Campit KS app, or by calling the office.

In addition to the cabin reservation, you must have a vehicle pass. You must be 18 or older to reserve and rent the cabin. No Smoking or Tents at the cabins, Pets are allowed with a paid pet fee $50. This is a housekeeping cabin. Please bring your own bedding, soap, and towels.
