One of the more popular brushpiles on the reservoir when water levels are up. A buoy marks this fish attractor located straight north of the marina boat ramp in 11-12 feet of water. This is an older brushpile with approximately 90 cedar trees and can provide some excellent crappie fishing in April and May when the fish are spawning. Channel catfish also congregate around this area throughout the summer. We will attempt to add to this fish attractor every other year.

An additional 25 cedar trees were added to this brushpile in August 2011.

This fish attractor located just south of the north marina pier is 14-18 feet deep when the reservoir is full. It is infrequently maintained and consists of around 70-80 cedar trees, but can occasionally offer some decent crappie fishing during the spring and through the ice. Channel catfish are also caught off this brush pile during the spring and summer months.

This brush pile was upgraded in April 2008 with the addition of another 20 Christmas trees.

We really beefed up this brush pile with the addition of 60 large cedar trees in March 2014.

The Oak Hill brushpile has been around for approximately 10 years and is a favorite location for many anglers seeking crappie or largemouth bass in the spring. It can also concentrate channel catfish and walleye during the spring and summer and offers a variety of depths, ranging from 6 to 15 feet at conservation pool. A buoy marks this brushpile.

We most recently beefed this up with the addition of 60 large and medium cedar trees in August 2008.

This brushpile is not used as much as some of the others, but can be very productive during low water periods in the fall and winter. It is only 10-12 feet deep at conservation, but typically holds good numbers of crappie in October and November. We found very high numbers of nice crappie around this brushpile while conducting our annual fall sample.

An additional 25 cedar trees were added to this brushpile in August 2011.
