KDWP STRATEGIC PLAN NEAR COMPLETION
Public comment invited; draft plan available at department?s website
TOPEKA - The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is developing a strategic plan, which will define goals and objectives to conserve and enhance Kansas' outdoor recreation resources. The five-year plan will guide the department in operational planning and budgeting.
Based upon comment from department staff and Kansas citizens, the plan defines current issues related to outdoor recreation in the state, as well as strategies which will be used to address those issues. Public comment is invited on the draft plan, which can be viewed and downloaded from the department website . Interested citizens will also be able to submit comments at the website. Public comment will be accepted until July 9th.
The writing of the plan is funded in part by Project FW-10-C-11, Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration (CFDA 15.611) and Federal Aid in Sportfish Restoration (CFDA 15.605).
