Wildlife Society to Meet March 4-5
Emporia State University site for annual spring meeting
EMPORIA - The Kansas Chapter of The Wildlife Society (KCTWS) has announced a "Call for Papers" for the organization's spring meeting. The meeting will be held Saturday, March 5, in 72 Science Hall at Emporia State University.
The "Call for Papers" is issued to anyone who may be interested wildlife issues, including undergraduate and graduate students who have conducted research projects on wildlife and conservation issues. Student presentations will be judged, and awards of $50 will be given for the best paper in each of three categories: undergraduate, masters of science, and doctoral candidates.
KCTWS also will hold its business meeting in 72 Science Hall at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 4, on the ESU campus. This meeting will be followed by dinner at a
local restaurant, and all presenters and others interested in wildlife are invited. The meeting and dinner provide an opportunity to see what the state's professional wildlife society does and to meet wildlife professionals and students from a variety of agencies and colleges.
