June 18 email news contains wrong dates for proposed dove season
PRATT -- The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks news release dated June 18 contained several proposals for approval at the June 25 Wildlife and Parks Commission meeting in Council Grove. One item up for approval read "KAR 115-25-19 -- doves; management unit, hunting season, shooting hours, and bag and possession limits (Native dove season, Sept 1-Oct. 31 and Nov. 1-9, bag limit 15)" in the article on the Commission meeting.

These dates for the November segment of the dove season are incorrect, however. The proposed dates are Sept. 1-Oct. 31 and Nov. 7-15. KDWP asks that all interested parties note the correct dates for the second segment of the 2009 proposed dove season.
