First-year event offers car and motorcycle enthusiasts opportunity to show off
MEADE — On Sunday, July 17, Meade State Park and Friends of Meade State Park and Lake will host a Car and Bike Show. The show will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the west side of the lake. This will be the show’s first year, and park staff hope to make it an annual event.

“This is just an opportunity for the people in surrounding communities to show off their cars and motorcycles,” says park manager Matt Trujillo, “and it’s open to anyone willing to participate. We will not be giving out prizes this year, but if attendance is good, we hope to offer prizes next year.”

There is no entry fee for the event, but a daily vehicle permit is required. A meal will be provided for $5 per plate. For more information, phone the park office at 620-873-2572.
