State parks and wildlife areas are open but some offices may be closed over holidays
PRATT – Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism staff would like to wish our friends a safe and happy holiday season and remind everyone of department office hours during the holidays. While normal business hours at all regional and district offices are Mon.-Fri., 8 a.m.-5 p.m., offices will be closed on Christmas, Dec. 25 and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2014.
State park offices may be closed additional days over the next two weeks due to low traffic and minimal staffing. State parks office closings for the holidays are as follows: Cedar Bluff – Dec. 24-Jan. 5, 2014; Cheney – 2 p.m., Dec. 24-25, 2 p.m. Dec. 31-Jan. 1, 2014; Clinton – Dec. 23-Jan. 5, 2014; Crawford – Dec. 23-Jan. 5, 2014; Cross Timbers-Fall River – Dec. 23-Jan. 3, 2014; Eisenhower – Dec. 25, Jan. 1, 2014; El Dorado – Dec. 24-25, noon Dec. 31-Jan. 1, 2014; Elk City – Dec. 25-29, Jan. 1, 2014; Glen Elder – Dec. 24-Jan. 1, 2014; Hillsdale – Dec. 25-Jan. 1, 2014; Kanopolis – Dec. 24-Jan. 2, 2014; Kaw River – Dec. 25-Jan. 1, 2014; Lovewell – Dec. 24-Jan. 1, 2014; Meade – Dec. 24-Jan. 1, 2014; Milford – Dec. 25-29, Jan. 1, 2014; Perry – Dec. 25-29, Jan. 1, 2014; Pomona – Dec. 20-Jan. 1, 2014; Prairie Dog – Dec. 24-Jan. 1, 2014; Scott – Dec. 24-29, Dec. 31-Jan. 1, 2014; Tuttle Creek – Dec. 24-25, Jan. 1, 2014; Webster – Dec. 24-29, noon Dec. 31-Jan. 1, 2014; Wilson – Dec. 24-Jan. 1, 2014.
All parks and KDWPT public lands will remain open for use. Park user fees can be paid at self-pay stations, and most other licenses and permits are available online at www.ksoutdoors.com.
