Eleven Kansas two-angler teams included in field for national title

Green Bay, Wis. – America’s best walleye anglers are competing for the Cabela’s National Team Championship on Green Bay and the Fox River May 29-31, and 11 of 237 teams fishing are from Kansas. Teams qualify for the national competition by fishing in local contests sanctioned by The Walleye Federation. Teams are competing for more than $250,000 in cash and prizes.

After the first day of fishing, the top-ranked Kansas team of Craig Koblitze and Jim Perry were in 14th place. The weigh-ins are being streamed live at www.walleyefederation.com beginning at 4 p.m. each afternoon.

On Saturday, only the top 25 teams will compete and the final weigh-in will begin at 4 p.m. Watch and root for your favorite Kansas team. And listen for a special announcement to be made at the conclusion of the weigh-in.
