Celebrate National Get Outdoors Day June 13
PRATT – How many times this summer have you heard “Mom, I’m bored!” or “Dad, can we go outside and do something?” It’s a sure sign that a child in your life is in need of adventure. The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT) has the perfect resource for getting your kids outside and occupied, and National Get Outdoors Day, June 13, is the perfect time to start utilizing it. The KDWPT events calendar, found on ksoutdoors.com, has information on events planned throughout the summer, most of which are held in the fun and safe atmosphere of Kansas state parks.
