Other Information:

Jamestown Wildlife Area managers invite you to attend a Jamestown Waterfowl Information Night with a “twist.” Instead of meeting in a classroom with presentations, pictures, graphs and tables, visitors can instead get a first-hand glance of the area, courtesy of staff.

A driving tour will begin at 6 p.m. from the area headquarters and return at 7:30 p.m. for a brief presentation, and Q&A session.

Attendees will get to see improvements resulting from two major wetland enhancement projects that took place over the last two years; management challenges of 2019; how water is moved and held in various pools; and, habitat conditions coming into the fall hunting seasons. Attendees will also hear expected waterfowl numbers; 2019-2020 waterfowl season dates and bag limits; and, habitat conditions throughout the central flyway.

Jamestown Wildlife Area is located 12 miles northwest of Concordia, KS. From Jamestown, go 2.5 miles north on the blacktop Cloud County Road 765, turn west on Wagon Rd for one mile, turn north on 30 Rd for another mile, turn west on Republic Rd for another mile, then follow the road north around the curve for about a mile to the intersection of Marsh Trail and 30 Rd to 299 Marsh Trail.

For more information, call the area office at (785) 439-6243.

Hope to see you there!
