OCTOBER PARK EVENTS AN IDEAL WAY TO EXPERIENCE AUTUMN
Celebrations taper off in fall, but several remain
Each month, Kansas state parks conduct special events designed to provide new opportunities to park-goers. Some events are held in conjunction with Free Park Entrance Days, some to celebrate a special historical event or geological attribute of an individual park, and others just for entertainment. Although the peak park season is tapering off, a few events still remain on the schedule, and there may be no better time of year to visit a state park.
Events are diverse and may include anything from a marathon race to boating courses and equestrian events. Many are educational, and all are designed to enhance the fun of visiting Kansas state parks.
