EMPORIA BANQUET TO AID SHOOTING SPORTS, HUNTER EDUCATION

Flint Hills Friends of the NRA feast Sept. 28

The annual Emporia area Friends of the NRA banquet and auction will be held Thursday, Sept. 28 at the Anderson Building on the Lyon County Fairgrounds in Emporia. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. featuring a barbecue dinner catered by Bad Ole Berns. Dinner will be followed by an auction and special drawings for collectible merchandise. Attendees bid on items from a standard Friends of NRA merchandise package, as well as special products and services donated to specific events by local businesses and community members.

All proceeds of this event go to support Kansas shooting programs. Since 1995, the event has raised more than $670,000 to help ensure the future of shooting sports. Kansas hunter education classes, 4-H shooting sports programs, and law enforcement agencies across the state have all gained support from the Friends of the NRA.
