KDWP CLASS OFFERS INTRODUCTION TO WATERFOWL HUNTING
One-day class scheduled at Marais des Cygnes Wildlife Area
In an effort to introduce interested novices to the world of waterfowl hunting, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) is offering a one-day class Oct. 7at Marais des Cygnes Wildlife Area near Pleasanton.
The class will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. The course will cover use of decoys in water and field locations, blinds, laws and regulations, waterfowling traditions and ethics, and duck and goose calling instruction. The class will also provide shotgun instruction, and students will get a chance to shoot clay targets from a blind.
All ammunition, calls, books, supplies, and lunch will be provided. Full details and directions will be provided upon registration. The fee for the class is $25. To register, contact the KDWP Hunter Education Section at 620-672-5911.
