Neosho Wildlife Area Waterfowl Information Meeting Aug. 27

Informational meeting will cover 2009 seasons, waterfowl outlook

St. Paul - The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks will be conducting a public meeting to discuss the past, present and future management of the Neosho Wildlife Area at 7:00 pm Thursday, Aug. The meeting will be held at the Osage Mission Neosho County Museum in St. Paul. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Topics of discussion will include habitat conditions at the wildlife area, expected fall flight forecast, final results of the 2008 waterfowl season, waterfowl regulations for this season, and management plans for the future. The special teal season opens Sept. 12, and the opening date for the regular waterfowl season is Oct. 31.
