VOTES NEEDED TO WIN $250,000 FOR TALLGRASS PRAIRIE PROJECT
Grant would aid tallgrass conservation efforts
TOPEKA — The Nature Conservancy Kansas Chapter’s Save the Tallgrass Prairie project is competing for a grant of as much as $250,000 on the Pepsi’s Refresh Everything contest. This is an online voting competition, so everyone interested in this special ecosystem is encouraged to vote. Every month, Pepsi is awarding grants of $5,000, $25,000, $50,000, and $250,000. Projects that focus on activities ranging from education to neighborhoods to arts and culture are competing for the grants.
To vote for the Save the Tallgrass Prairie, go online to www.refresheverything.com/savethetallgrassprairie. To register and vote, create a sign-in and password. Voters can vote once daily for the Kansas Chapter’s project every day for the rest of August.
